Merry Christmas and God Bless You!

Dear Friends,

Please allow me to take a few minutes of your time this morning to express how grateful you all are to me and to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!

I moved to Richmond five years ago, opened Fitness Together and made some extraordinary  and special friends over that time.

As most of you know (or hopefully all of you know) I pride myself on living my life accordingly to principles and values my parents instilled in me from early childhood and I am proud to serve such an awesome God each and every day.

Of course I’m not perfect and make my mistakes but through the grace of my Lord and Savior I make the best of each situation no matter what the challenge is set before me.

This Christmas I have some very special blessings that I know are true gifts from Heaven above.  I am blessed to open the doors to a new beautiful facility, I am blessed to have the love of my life, Julie, right beside me, I am blessed to have such an inspiring, creative and fun 12 year old son, Hunter and I am blessed to have such a supportive and loving family and great friends.

Sometimes we can take for granted what we are blessed with and be very quick to curse what we are without.  I ask as your friend, to take the time this Christmas to search your heart, reflect on your blessings and give thanks for each of them.

I wanted to speak on my feelings today and let each of you know how dear and special you all are to me.  Thank you for your business, your friendship and your support.  I truly thrive on the blessings each of you has given me over the years and I’m honored to have you in my life.

I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

God Bless You and Yours,
Sean Murphy

Welcome to Champions Drive On

Hello Friends, Family and Fellow Champions,

I am so delighted to welcome you to my new Blog Space, "Champions Drive On." We had a saying in the Army when times got tough, "Suck it up and Drive On!"

For those that don't know me yet, my name is Sean Murphy and I am a certified personal trainer and owner of Fitness Together, Richmond VA.

Over the past 5 years I have been working with men and women of all fitness levels and ages here in the Richmond area helping them realize and achieve their personal best with their health and fitness goals. It is a passion of mine to help others succeed with their goals and nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing the pounds drop, the inches lost and the rejuvenation of LIFE that occurs when that client is winning!

We all know that success in weight loss and a fitness regimen doesn't "just happen." It takes hard work, dedication, some sacrifices and a true desire to DRIVE ON when things get tough. That's exactly why I set up this web page. You see, to me, what makes a true champion is someone who has the dedication and focus to keep going even when things may not seem to be working and not allowing set backs or EXCUSES stand in their way. We all could use more encouragement when we feel backed up against the wall; and that's exactly what I intend on providing to you here!

Here at Champions Drive On, I am going to give you ongoing support and motivation with updates on training strategies, nutrition tips, feedback to your questions and concerns as well as share with you my client testimonials and success stories that may relate to you!

I hope that you will bookmark and visit this page often, watch the videos and learn from them. I will help you separate Myths from TRUTHS so that you will not be mislead or fall for gimmicks and false conceptions that flood the fitness and health industry. Your success is very important to me so if you have any questions, concerns or help in any way, don't hesitate to contact me by writing to SMurphy@fitnesstogether.com. I wish you the best and most success no matter what it is your trying to achieve in life.

In closing, I want to leave you with one of my favorite quotes. It comes from the last installment of the Rocky Saga, my absolute favorite movies of all time. . .

"Life isn't always full of sunshine and rainbows. It can be a hard and nasty place and it will beat you down and keep you down if you let it. Life isn't about how hard you can hit back, it's about how much you can take. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep pushing forward; THAT'S HOW WINNINGS DONE!"

My friends, when you can keep pushing forward no matter what, You Are a Champion!
